Hope In Him

“We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.”
-Psalm 33:20-22

Living in a constant state of surrender, keeping the hope, and trusting in the Lord may be the last thing you want to do when a situation arises. Although many people think that they need to fix things by the work of their own hands, I can guarantee that fully trusting in the Lord will be the best thing you can ever do. This Psalm says He is our ‘Help&Shield’. I believe/know this to be 100% true. The Lord is faithful to help you in whatever you need. He will not let you down, and He will always love you like CRAZY!

His Presence is your guidance!

I’ve been finding so much joy just being in the presence of the Lord.

It’s so easy to get distracted, friends, phone calls, facebook, twitter, etc. and the list goes ON and ON… but I have been learning, that time well spent is time that is spent with the Lord! It’s where we can hide away/retreat from the distractions of the world and have time with the one who knows us best, who created us and loves us to no end. It’s a place of rest, refuge, and love. If we dwell in Jesus, we will rest in the shadow of His presence.

You have been created with a specific purpose. Don’t doubt the dreams & desires God has put in your heart, they are there for a reason. If you are in a waiting season, let God teach you patience as you put time and effort into your relationship with Him. At the right and appointed time things will begin to happen. Time+devotion to the Lord and your daily prayer life is key. Keep at it!

Quick update/ Blog: The Small Things

Hi there! Pray everyone is doing well! This past week I got the privilege to fly out to Seattle to sing/minister at the Dreamgirlz Gathering! It’s an over-night event for young women ages 8-18! I had such a wonderful time just being with the girls and ministering to them! They had worship, workshops, makeovers, and lots of fun! (& lots of Jesus!) It was surely an amazing time for all. It was such a blessing to be there and be apart of everything. At night, I sang (along with some amazing artists) at the concert starting at 12 a.m – it lasted till 4 a.m! hehe. [Read more...]

Learning how to surrender

Our nature as human beings is to control what we know, to hold onto what we know, and to direct what we know into the direction we want to go. To go against this nature can be a struggle, but God has equipped us with Himself and the Word of the Lord to be renewed in our thoughts, minds and attitudes.

Romans 8:12-13 says this: “Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.”

This makes me so joyful! I no longer have to be bound to my old self – my sinful desires – but can live in the Spirit fully alive and free! The more I realize this the more I can truly learn how to fully give my everything to the King of all kings.

In Awe of Him

I found myself on a beautiful beach, waves crashing in front of me. The water was a bright aqua color, stunning to the eye. I had never been to this particular place before though. I laid down on my towel and in a second I dropped my hand into the sand. For some reason this sand felt different. I glanced over at my hand and falling back through to the ground was thousands- millions of pieces of sand. My mind began to think back to scripture. My mind started to comprehend what I couldn’t fully understand before. God says in (Psalm 139:17-18) that His thoughts about us outnumber the sands on the seashore, and in this moment I felt it. God is crazy about me- crazy about you and He desires to have a personal – loving, papa, best friend, daddy- relationship with us. He thinks about us 24/7 and certainly knows how to direct our lives.
